Day 17 #shesgotlegs is Supta Padangusthasana. This reclining posture is a balance between strength and flexibility. The foundation comes from grounding the leg that is not moving. So in the video my right leg is providing foundation and keeping both sides of the pelvis rooted down. For the first part lift your torso up to meet the leg and use your core, for the second part use the external rotation of the hip joint to bring the leg out to the side. Dont worry about getting your foot down, just duos on the spiraling motion in the ball and socket of the hip joint while keeping your opposite hip grounded.
