Day 19, 327 Today I am thankful for my elementary school days. My elementary school days included reading, puzzles, penmanship, RECESS, 4cent carton of milk and a penny for an oatmeal cookie. We also did a lot of cutting and pasting. The paste tasted like mint. I dont think I was the only one that ate the paste. Back in the 1950s we didnt have white glue in a squeeze bottle, and we didnt have glue sticks. Paste came in a little plastic jar and you had to scoop it out with your finger. Half the time the pasty finger went into my mouth. We had Dick and Jane reading books with dog Spot, Mom, and Dad. AND, we developed friendships which have been reunited on facebook. Wonderful days!
