Day 2/7 Gratitude Challenge! #1. I am so very grateful for my father. My supportive, loving and accepting father Jim Beckett. He has taught me how to be a strong, independent woman, he has shown me how to work hard in life and never stop chasing my dreams, no matter how out of reach they are or imaginative. He is always here for me when life gets rough, he is a strong shoulder to cry on, a gentle heart that provides never ending amounts love and security, and has an amazing ability to always make people smile and laugh out loud with his brilliant sense of humour. I am so thankful that you raised Brett Beckett and I to be able to practice self defence and Martial Arts and have given us the ability to apply our skills to our everyday lives. The training you have given us in our younger years is the next best gift (after your undying love-of course) that you could give your 2 daughters. You are a papa bear like no other and I will love you forever with all of my heart and soul #2. I am forever grateful for my kind, caring, gentle hearted, healing mother Marilyn Beckett. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful female role model in life, a woman that is so nurturing and always puts others needs ahead of her own. She is always there to listen, and the first to offer her help with absolutely no hesitation. She will be the first to help an injured creature and will spend countless hours and resources to make sure that she has done everything in her knowledge and power to give an animal a chance at rehabilitating. I know everyone says how they want there mothers around when they are sick with a cold or a flu, but I am telling the truth when I say that MY mother is the BEST when you are sick! She has all the best home remedies and all the love that anyone could possibly need to recover from any ailment. She is simply...the BEST! I am grateful to have such a gentle, kind woman as a Mom and I will love her always and forever with all my heart and soul. #3. My Brother Tai Over! I am so grateful that this kind wonderful, strong, loving, caring and thoughtful man has come into our family. He is the most loving partner to my beloved sister, a best friend to my dearest father, a protective and supportive brother, and the most amazing father to the most precious and beautiful little girls. He is a man of high morals and strong values, he is a courageous human being that has learned a lot from life already and has gone through some hard times only to come out like a Phoenix raising from its ashes. The excitement and glow that he gets from doing something he loves or the way that he looks at my sister is so genuine and real. He is the perfect addition to our family. A beloved friend that will forever have a special place in my heart. Thank you for everything that you do and for making the family so very happy!
