Day 2 Surgery day! Mummy and daddy came and seen me first thing in the morning but wasnt aloud to touch me as i had to be put into an induced sleep to stabilize my breathing and heart rate. They spent all morning with me until it was time for me to be prepared for surgery mummy seen all the green sheets come out and all they instruments they needed to used to get me down to theater but she couldnt watch they where told to say goodbye to me and told i would be back in NICU within 2 hours and the nurses would call mummys room to tell them i was back. Mummy and Daddy sat in mummys room with grandpa waiting for the phone to ring. at 2.5 hours mummy had enough of waiting and went up to NICU to see what was taking so long. She was told that a few minor complications was happening and i should be back soon and to go back to her room and they will call as soon as im back. 3.5 hours came and went and mummy and daddy was getting really worried thanks to Grandpa they didnt go back up but called instead. I still wasnt back! at the 4.25 hours mark the phone rang i was in recovery waiting to be transported back to NICU. All up it was 5.5 hours before Mummy and Daddy seen me again. they still wasnt aloud to touch me but i was ok and my results would be back tomorrow. Day 3 10am mummy and daddy got to talk to my surgeon for the first time since my operation. He told them i had type C TOF/OA which is the most common. But in surgery when the doctor stitched me up he found i was missing the first 15mms of my coil muscle so they had to cut it off and stretch my oesophagus up to my pouch which proved difficult but after a long time working on it they was able to do it. Day 4-10 these days i slowly got better and all my pain killers started coming off. Day 11 I got kangaroo cuddles for the first time! And my first feed through my nasal gastric tube i got 2 mls every 2 hours. Day 12
