Day 2 of 31 Days of Classical Horror!: So yesterday, with Swan - TopicsExpress

Day 2 of 31 Days of Classical Horror!: So yesterday, with Swan Lake, I felt it was kind of a bad way to start in that the only reason it worked was because it was used once for a movie made over 80 years ago. I had so much emotional attachment to it that I couldnt resist. Now we can REALLY move on to the horror starting with a piece that the composer Modest Mussorgsky created to accompany a series of sketches by his friend, the artist Viktor Hartmann that were displayed in St. Petersburg. The sketch to this piece is long gone but it was described as A sketch depicting a little gnome, clumsily running with crooked legs. Its so stereotypically Halloween isnt it?
