Day 2 of 7: Realizing how difficult yet interesting this challenge is becoming.... 1. New York. I am proud to say I was born in the Bronx. I am thankful for so many things this birthplace has brought to my life but most importantly the greatest pizza on the planet and without question the best bageIs, cannolis, Italian Ice, cookies, pasta, coffee in the world......but above all this - the state of mind. There is no other. Its an amazing kaleidoscope of everything you can dream of and more- no other place Ive been blessed to know can compare. So thankful for NY. (Did I forget to mention that the place has birthed some pretty amazing people as well) 2. Alternative music. Need I say more. My love for this genre of music started way before it had a name. Because of the music I have formed some of the most wonderful friendships (you know who you are!) and memories that will last a lifetime. Its a bonding of sorts. We are few in a sea of everything else. But once you get it it doesnt leave you. If you have not experienced alternative music you should try it. It does not disappoint. If you are looking for suggestions I would start with U2, REM, Psychedelic Furs, the Cure and /or the Cult.. 3. Butterflies. I love butterflies. When a butterfly crosses my path a feeling of peace mixed with joy and serenity overcome me. They are a constant reminder of 2 lovely ladies I once knew for a moment. A moment that will forever be etched in my heart until I die and thereafter. They are beautiful, each unique and exquisite and flawless. I am always amazed at the location of these beauties. They come to me at the darnedest of times and it is always when I need to be reminded the most. I am very very thankful for butterflies.
