Day 2 of my 5 Day Gratitude Challege: I am thankful to live in Arizona. I have lived in Arizona twice before, and Roger and I were married on South Mountain overlooking the city. Warren, MN was where I was raised and I feel blessed that my children were able to experience growing up in a small town atmosphere and get to have many memories with Grandma Mary. But once Mom got sick and was called home, then I got sick, my amazing husband asked me what he could do for me...I said I needed to go home. Arizona is home. Its my place in the world where my heart says I belong. Surrounded by mountains, a blue sky that shows a rainbow of colors with every sunrise and sunset, everything you could want at any hour of the day, palm trees, golf courses, pools, and 300+ days of sunshine a year. A short drive to Mexico or California beaches, snow capped Mountains, Disneyland, lights of Vegas, Breath taking beauty of the Grand Canyon, thousands upon thousands of miles to hike and explore. Snow is beautiful and when we want to play in snow, we can take a short drive to ski, snowcat, build snowman and drink hot chocolate; and when were done, we can be home by supper for a round of golf, or to relax in the pool. I wish for everyone to have a place in this world, that you feel at home!
