Day 22 of my Thankful in November list... Day 22. I am THANKFUL for Daryn Shawn Adair!!!!!! My Husband is my ROCK!!!!!! There was a time in my life that I thought being a single Mom to 2 Wonderful boys was the way I would go through life. I had no desire to go out and look for another man to break my already crumbled heart. I was happy but there always seemed to be something I just needed to wait for. My sons went to school and played sports with Daryns sons. After Daryn and his 1st wife divorced, My Momma and I, along with my boys, ran into Daryn and his one night. My Momma invited them out to our house the next time he had his boys. 2 weeks later they came over and so began a summer of get togethers so the kids could hang out. Everyone teased me about my new boyfriend. After being good friends for just over a year, Daryn surprised me on Valentines Day, asking me for a date. Noone has ever been more surprised than me. I was speechless, if you can believe that! Here was a man who had seen all my faults, witnessed emotional breakdowns, and was still asking me for a date! I thought he was crazy, but I agreed. This Wonderful Man, found all the pieces of my heart and put them back together. Two weeks later he asked my brother for permission to marry me, all formal like. My brother told my Momma. So when Daryn and I got to my house that evening, My Momma asked me if I was going to tell her my news. When I told her I didnt know what she was talking about, she asked me if I didnt want her at my wedding. I told her I wasnt getting married. At that point, Daryn told her he had not asked me yet. 2nd time in 2 weeks that I was speechless! He still didnt ask me until just before he headed home that night. I said yes, of course...Lol. We got married just over 2 months later. We have been through hell and back in the past11 1/2 years, but I cannot imagine my life without him in it. My husband is my most fierce protector. He promised my Momma he would ALWAYS take care of me. He hates to see me struggling to breathe, hates to see me in pain, and it really makes him mad when someone hurts me, unintentional or not!!! He says exactly what is on his mind at the time, if he has the chance, and to hell with everyones opinions or feelings at that moment! Then he spends the rest of his life tearing himself apart for things he said. Regardless of how anyone in my life sees my husband, he is one of the Most Honorable, Trustworthy, Reliable, Responsible, Caring, Determined, and Loving Men I have EVER KNOWN!!!!!! He has NEVER let me down!!! He LOVES me UNCONDITIONALLY as Love is supposed to be!!!! I am truly Grateful for that, as I can be most difficult to live with at times. Lol. We are partners, friends, and soulmates!!! I am so THANKFUL he is in my life!!!! He is a major part of my WORLD!!!!!! Daryn,I LOVE YOU!!!!!! THANK YOU FOR BEING THE OTHER HALF OF MY SOUL!!!!!! Daryn Shawn Adair is MY Day 22!!!!!!!!
