Day 22 of the Occidental Odyssey Redux. Arose before dawn to - TopicsExpress

Day 22 of the Occidental Odyssey Redux. Arose before dawn to get an early start on the 6+ hour drive to Salt Lake City, but I felt compelled to drive in and see Ouray one last time before I left. When I reached the center of town, two Mulie bucks with velvet antlers were sauntering across Main Street, like a scene straight out of Northern Exposure. I followed them a block up the hill where they proceeded to dine on one of the local residents trees and shrubbery. Afterwards, I decided to drive up once more to see what surprises the mountains might have for me on my last day here. Im glad I did. The higher I climbed, the more the temperature dropped and the mountains were again shrouded in heavy cloud cover, similar to yesterdays outing. It was such a beautiful sight to behold that I continued driving and shooting photos, so as to prolong the experience for as long as possible. Finally, at 9:30, I decided I needed to get back, break camp and head out for SLC. It was a long but beautiful drive across Colorado and Utah today and Im tired. Looking forward to getting back home to see Mimi and process all the information from this amazing adventure.
