Day 24 - 84.5km With a big feed of fish, chips & salad for dinner I felt as if I woke up a different person from yesterday. Half of the crew had a sleep in & the rest of us woke at 3:40am to be at a start point by 5:30am. Knowing it was a big day ahead of us we had to keep reigning in our speed so we wouldnt burn out by the afternoon. 20k flew by & the chill in the air passed. The hills surrounding our path looked amazing & I felt much more calm & in a happy place. Crazy how things can change from day to day. The body played no tricks on either of us today & there was lots of chatter - the music didnt go on once. We are into the single figures with 8 days of running to go. Almost feels like a life time ago when we ran through Rhodes & Vuvu. This is one hell of a way to see a country.. The people have been amazing wherever we have been. Mimj is looking forward to sun baking on Louise s porch whilst sipping down wine. I think it will take me two summers to get rid of my tshirt tan - forgive me for looking appalling at your wedding Vanessa Haywood & Hedge Hog. Big hugs to Kimberly Dods for lending us her car - you are the best xx Thanks to David Jones for his fundraising initiative in coogee!! We still have some funds to raise before reaching our $50K - would love your support in any sum https://donate.savethechildren.org.au/FreedomRunners Love to all
