Day 27 in the NICU. Today, I got to wear my first dress. I feel so pretty in it. It maybe a little big, but one day soon I will wear it perfectly. Im now 2 pounds 2.3 ounces, so I am picking up weight again. Tomorrow, I get measured so we will see if I grew anymore. Anyone want to guess how long I will be? Im doing great digesting my feedings. Im getting no residual which is AWESOME!!! Ive been doing pretty good with my breathing today too. Mommy got to hold me tonight and I didnt have any issues. Daddy read to me today too. I just love when Daddy reads to me and talks to me. When I was in Mommys tummy, I would always become more active when Daddy was around and I could hear his voice. Today, Im still the same way. Im definitely a Daddys girl. (Mommy said I take after her. My grandpa and my Mommy were very close. She tells me all about my grandpa Mike and my grandma Char. Mommy tells me funny stories about them a lot). My O2 is still at 24 and thats ok. Here in the NICU they say, its a marathon, not a sprint. I truly cant believe I have been here for 27 days. Mommy would have been 34 weeks tomorrow. She misses being pregnant with me, but she tells me all the time how lucky she is that Im a fighter and that Im here with her and Daddy. I keep hearing stories about my fur brother and sister too!!! Boy o boy, I cant wait to ride them...I mean meet them. They sound like a lot of fun. Ok friends, its time for night nite.
