Day 288 Deployment - Its really more of a continuance from Thanksgiving day. But mostly because I havent slept yet. So it really is the same day for me. I woke up on Thursday with a toothache. it hurt but was tolerable. I didnt really eat much until I got to the pie.. That I ate. It was all soft and yummy. After all was said and done and cleaned up I watched a movie on the couch and then got ready for work. I got to work at 7:15 PM (Thursday) and stayed until 4:45 AM (Friday) By the middle of my shift my (what I thought at the time) gums hurt pretty badly. But I toughed it out. I made it the whole way through. I thought I had stabbed something into my gum line and it was cut. Not so, as I was to find out later. So, after work it was so dang on cold.. COLD>>> it took 15 minutes to defrost the windows enough to see. And that was after I scraped off what I could reach. I did learn a valuable lesson here ... Do NOT scrape at yourself. The ice WILL go right down your coat and shirt - not helping the cold situation at all! So, left work, hit Starbucks. Got my coffee and a mug. Then I went to Home Depot. Me and dad scoped it out on Wednesday. So I knew exactly where I needed to go. I got there at 5:05 and was in my car with my purchases at 5:09. Hell yeah! Then I went to J.C.Pennys and picked up a few baking tools that were 60% off and got my snow globe. Then on to Kirklands where Lisa Marie conned me into giving her my coffee. She did the whole pouty lip sad eyes thing. I must love her.. Then on to Bath and Body where I always over spend. I have a weakness for that stuff and their candles are so awesome. And then I went home. I got there at just after 6 AM. Took a shower, talked to Ryan Ray Madere for a bit.. ( I love you, just in case you forgot) and then went to bed right at the I am awake after 24 hours mark. And then.... My tooth woke me up at 8:15. Yes.. 1 hour of sleep. I called the dentist. They said come on in.. I did.. So it turns out that my gums are fine. I have a fractured molar and an abscess under the tooth . This is the tooth most likely to be fractured. Didnt know that. Wish that I still didnt. You know what they do for that? They pull it out..But first they go in with a q-tip and some topical analgesic (that did NOT work) And then the go in 4 times with a sadistic looking needle and jab you in the already f*ing hurt gums. My Doctor was kind of awesome though. He reassured me the whole time. Told me at any time if the pain became intolerable he would immediately stop. So Im not sure what he used - my eyes were squished shut- but he yanked that bad boy right out. Hurt like a mother ____ ... Holy shit sis that hurt.. But then the Novocaine started to work. And I still cant feel my lips and cheek. So I made my way to dads, shaking like a leaf, and he took me to target to get my prescriptions. Then he brought me home. And then he waited to make sure I was ok before he left. Thank you dad! I appreciate it all. And here I am - wide awake for just about 30 hours now.. But I think the pain meds are starting to work.. So I think soon I will finally get some sleep. Thank you to Danell D Merritt , Kendra Jinx Ranson, Sherri Lynn, Rebecca Marie, and Camie Jackson for offering to help me out today. Although I didnt take you up on it (yet) I appreciate that you were willing to drop everything to help me. And that my friends is my Friday up till now... Dont want to repeat this one for damn sure!!
