Day 3 - struggling to keep up the pace this morning with severe stomach cramps and multiple trips to the restroom through the night. starting with a bowl of oatmeal to see how it settles. Truck has some electrical issues Thursday night on the way back from the New River and left me on the side of the road. Nell Rose Steed saved the day and took me to Advanced Auto where I decided to replace the battery. This seemed to be the fix and I made it to the festival grounds and immediately went to bed and slept for 12 hours to make up for missing the night before. Friday morning my truck made it to Maryland fine. I noticed on the way back from Maryland that the battery gauge was slowly heading towards low charge. It got dark and when I turned on the headlights the truck began a repeat of the problems I had the night before. we found an advanced auto 5 miles away and drove with no lights straight to the store praying we would make it. Thank god it was at the bottom of a hill because the truck died and we literally rolled into the parking lot and there was a space at the front door where we ended up. AMEN. I figured the next possible part to be replaced was the alternator. Sam Thomas at advanced auto provided us with tools and expert advice. Justin Smith helped me take the old alternator off and put the new one in. we made it back to the festival before midnight! I am feeling so blessed to have such awesome luck and great friends. I really hope the oatmeal settles my stomach soon so i can hit the river for another great day.
