Day #3..What pose have you cried in? I have cried in LOTS of poses (people who dont do yoga are mystified by this, lol), but the one that has drawn the most emotion is kapotasana. In fact for about 4 months in 2012, it was almost the only pose I could do, and I soaked my mat with tears every time. What I tell myself…and my students…about this pose is that it allows us the opportunity to examine what we do with discomfort. Do we come out and run away from it, or can we sink in and be with the sensation? Is your first reaction to stiffen and tense? Or can you soften and let conscious relaxation take you deeper?
