Day 3 of my five day music challenge.pick 5 songs which are important to you and have a story attached to it and nominate 3 people per day.i nominate Matthew Seymour Matt Fox-Teece and Barry Warren.Today is Machine Head.In 1994 i had lost interest in heavy music.Then on christmas day of that year i recieved this debut album from Machine head.Once the family had all gone i stuck the cd on and heard Davidian the opening track and i was hooked.The drumming is awesome and the rest of the album rocked.One of the great debut albums of all time.Went to see them live a few times back then.It was at one gig at the Astoria in London that i made my only visit to a mosh pit.It seemed very civilised people were looking out for each other and making sure no no one got hurt.After a few tracks of moshing i went back to where my wife and a couple of friends were standing.to tell them how cool and friendly it had been down the front.To my horror my wife was wiping blood off her jacket.Turns out someone had taken a boot to the face and while rushing out had covered people in blood.So i was better off in the moshpit.Still love this band and The blackening album from a few years ago is a classic
