Day 30 Part 1 Worship is the heart of all that God has for His people. I am created to worship Him and in this I am filled and fulfilled. It seems though, that today, many of us have tremendous difficulty with becoming worshiping people. I wish I knew why. I often watch people during times of worship and many of them seem disconnected and unmoved. But why? Jesus hasn’t changed. He is as great, loving, powerful, kind and supernatural as ever, but we often seem disconnected from His awe inspiring touch. I am sure it has something to do with the difficulty of being focused on Him when there are so many things pulling at each of us today. Often I will see people looking at their phones during a deep and moving time of worship. I wonder, how can He move us if we aren’t present and how can we be present with so many distractions? Psalm 84 has an answer: Psalm 84:10 Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. Some of us need to experience what it means to dwell in His house, to come into His courts. If you’re a worshipper, you can help this to happen! There are times you are positioned to help people see how incredible it is to come into His presence. This is a teaching moment that you don’t want to miss, a moment when you can impact others. When you come to worship come with a sense of expectation. Expect Jesus to touch you. As you worship remember those around you are watching and being impacted by your freedom to come into His presence. So worship Him deeply and freely. Help others to see that “Better is one day in His courts than a thousand elsewhere!” SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY: MATTHEW 2:1-2 “Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.” ~Pastor Dan Carroll pressinginwol/?p=3939
