Day 4- today I am thankful that I was blessed with awesome parents. I love you Dortha Jean and Rayford (God rest his sole). I was raised with a firm hand, lots of love, respect, honesty and high moral standards. These were the intangible items that were to be the prize processions in my hope chest. We were taught family came first. Home cooked meals were made twice a day and everyone was expected to sit at the table together to eat. (Oh Ive eaten plenty a biscuit with missing hot rollers or an undone hairstyle). Of course with a household of 5 females, with Daddy being the lone male, there was plenty girl fights and attitudes. (normally while out of the eyesight of Momma and Daddy or we would be forced to hug each other and say I love you to end the squabble). Wow, I guess my parents did know best....because hugs and I love you is two of my favorite things!
