Day #4: I am thankful for the new walking/biking trails & all the paved walkways that connect the trails. Ive heard grumbling about the cost of the project & thats to be expected. Theres always someone who is not pleased with any kind of progress. These trails & walkways benefit everyone in the area...family outings without spending a dime...teenagers who want to do something with friends...dog walkers...fitness walkers, runners, & bikers...friends who want an opportunity to talk, but dont want to do it over a meal or over the phone ..moms with strollers. Everyone from every background & age group is given the same rights to enjoy the outdoors without fear of being run over on the streets by Effinghams notoriously inept drivers! What a wonderful gift to give to our community! Hope to see you out for a walk! Ill be the one with either two Pugs or a Saint Bernard.
