Day 4 of my positives.... 1. I am incredibly grateful to have found a career that I absolutely LOVE! Many of you may not know, but after I finished my student teaching, I decided I was never going to be a teacher! My friend, Kathy Russo Accardo, called me the last week of October 1987 and asked me if I was still not working during the day. She explained that her friend owned a Pre-School, and one of her teachers quit giving her almost no notice. She asked if I would lend a hand until Lisa (Pre-K owner) found someone to take the position. Lisa came to me, probably mid December and said, You know Im not looking for anyone else, right? Im SO glad she made that decision. I have had the BEST job for 27 years!!!! 2. In line with #1, I am very fortunate that I will be starting my 12th year at Saint Ambrose School, Old Bridge, New Jersey teaching a new, wonderful group of four year olds!! I have the pleasure of working with some amazing teachers over the years, many of whom are not on FB, but I will mention the ones that I know are: Evelyn Junice, Vicky Caporale, Kelly Schmale Meehan, Barbara Cipriano, Bernice Hensberger, Barbara Mary Roberts, Christine Guthrie, Kathy McCarthy Fehl, Ginny Marshall, Rose Ann Orecchio, Trisha DArcy, Kathy Brady Scognamiglio, Teresa Henstock Rada, and Yvette Chin. I THANK YOU all for not only being great people to work with, but for being AWESOME teachers for TJ,Chris and Mikey!! 3. My line of work has given me the opportunity to teach some phenomenal children over the years!!! Obviously Facebook wasnt around 27 years ago, so Im not friends with a lot of those people, but I am friends with; Aggie Deangelis Catalano, Angela Baghetti Dwyer, Annmarie Deangelis Vivo, Anthony Cosentino, Artie DiLeo, Bill OKeefe, Carolina Leguizamon Broderick, Carolyn Meehan Mccartney, Carmella Malavenda Spinelli, Debra Ann Delahunt, Denise Leshinger, Donna Scarola-Corio, Dorothy Dittemer Matrale, Fran Penna-Belmont, Gemma Maselli Di Leo, Jill Gatyas Kenyon, Juanita Frias-Roig, Julio Fernandez, Laura Bannister Napoli, Linda Palmiotti Colasanti, Linda Burriesci Carrington, Linda Solari, Lisa Donato-Okeefe, Marcie JC Ruszczyk, Marie Marzella Cullen, Nancy Isola Pepe, Stephanie DePinto Cappelluti, Stella Porto, ToniMaria Defeo Cosentino, Tracey Mosko Ward, Vicki Speirs Gaffney, and VinnyLorraine Campo, Actually, two of the people listed, I taught their sons 20+ years ago!!! I thank all of you for giving me the honor of working with your children!!!! Interacting with them has added blessings to my life!
