Day 5 of the Gratitude Challenge... 1. I am so grateful for living in the best neighbourhood and neighbours... bar none! If youve been here, ya know what Im talkin about. From moving day in July of 1985 to the epic Canada 125th Street Party to traditional Victoria Day and Christmas Eve gatherings, to the Harrison Ave Quilt Group and the garage moments and all the community in between. Weve been looking out for each other, and being happy to do so, since we became the new kids on the block almost 30 years ago. Its HOME!!!! Nuff said... 2. I am grateful for my Quilting Sisterhood. We support each other around the great quilt frame of life. You meet another quilter and the language is shared, Half Square Triangles, Flying Geese, Fat Quarters, Baltimore Beauties, New York Beauties, UFOs, Row Robins, Block of the Month, RETREAT.... Feed Sacks, I Spy, Shop Hop, more fun than a barrel of tangled threads. Sharing your insanity and knowing that the Quilt Community is a lot like Las Vegas. Whatever happens at a Quilt Event STAYS at the Quilt Event. Its cheaper than therapy (HONEST). This is the thread that binds us all together. 3. I am grateful for the Gratitude Challenge because it makes you pause and think about what matters. We all spend so much time rushing around and doing things that we need to take a moment to appreciate what is good in your life. Life is good. Focus on the positive and keep those that make you happy close. Love xoxox I now challenge Suzanne Winchester, Peter R. Hickey and Bree Catala to the Gratitude Challenge.
