Day 6 - WE HIT WATER TODAY! After weeks of drilling, hoping and praying, Ted Van Der Zalm (founder of Wells Of Hope) spends countless days operating the Well Drilling Rig to bring water to the families who have no access to clean water. This well will nourish 12,000 people. Everyday the locals would gather around the well trucks in hope of seeing water! Day after day….. Today we all cheered and celebrated together! Even the cows came out to drink! The photo that you see with the rippling grey foam is actually tiny rock dust that feels like powder to the touch. The diamond head drill carves away at the rock below, once water is found, a mixture of rock dust and water is blown out creating a rippling pool.
