Day 68 in the NICU. I still have no interest in bottle feeding. I have drank from the bottle a few times today, but I only took a quarter of my feeding before I just got frustrated. I really think its because Im trying to figure things out. Its really loud in the penthouse suite. I hear everything these days. With that being said I lost a little weight last night, 16 grams, which is half an ounce. (30 grams in an ounce). I currently weigh 4 pounds 2.2 ounces. My doctor is concerned about my weight. She says Im too tiny for my age. After talking with Mommy today, they have decided to increase my calories to 24 calorie human fortifier. This will help me put on weight. Im very nasally the past few days. Its like my nose is all stuffy, but Im ok. Im not sick. I have had a bloody nose too, due to the oxygen. Somedays, I just feel like a mess. Today is one of those days. I will get it together, just give me a few days. Preemie steps!!!! I got introduced to something new yesterday...shots. I started my immunization yesterday and got my second shot today, since I had no reaction to the first one. I cried for a second but once it was over, I was done. Mommy said I took it like a champ!!! Well, Mommy is going to try to give me a bottle, so Im going to do the best I can for her. Until tomorrow, much love, Gabriella Marie.
