Day 7 Gratitude Challenge - for my last day I will share 3 things I am grateful for about my home town Dryden. Since I was born and raised here and chose to come back after university, I must say I think it is a pretty wonderful place to live. 1. I love the downtown core of Dryden. Places like the Central Hotel and Restaurant, the Town Hall, cenotaph, Legion, the buildings, bring back so many memories. 2. The Dryden Public Library - Such a welcoming atmosphere. A wonderful staff. Shelves full of classic books and the most recent publications. When I go there I love seeing people sitting around the comfy reading areas enjoying a book or newspaper or at the computers catching up on the world. One of Drydens treasures, a place that can be enjoyed and not cost a ton of money. 3. Aaron Park - So beautiful. Thunder Lake is so peaceful. My family goes on special picnic there every summer and for a fall walk. The hiking trails are fantastic. I especially love the bridge and the little waterfall you can see near the highway. I have taken many classes there for a field trip and the kids love the picnic pavilion, that big playground field that almost invites you to a game of tag or Red Rover and the outdoor theater for an impromptu skit. Another inexpensive place a family can enjoy for a fun - filled day. I sure have enjoyed the Gratitude Challenge. Made me realize that I am thankful for so much in my life! And I love to write so Im thankful I got to!
