Day 71: Why are flamingos pink? Thats it. Call me the Grandmaster of Seasoning. Ive finally unlocked the potential in rosemary. And no, I dont mean the little ol lady down the street but that woody, perennial herb thats ever-so-fragrant and perfectly matched to my chicken breast nibblets. Its also high in iron, calcium and vitamin B6, which means that it has to be good for you. Since I started this I havent strayed too far away from my intended nutrition plan, barring the odd occasion when I splurge out (like celebrations and unavoidable events). Though the key is balance. I want my new habits to be sustainable in the long run, so dont be too hard on yourself either if youve fallen off whatever horse youre riding. I like to think Im enjoying the journey as much as Ill find the destination. But otherwise, also good for you: catching up with friends, morning walks (spot the running tights, not leggings!), pre-test banter, banter, lateral shoulder raises, Ben Flynns arms, exquisite printed shorts, Asian tea houses, and advanced family planning. And now that its 34 days out, everythings gotta start coming together — the walks, the runs, the puns — sweet chicken nibblets its so gonna be worth it. fundraiseonline.co.nz/ThomNguyen/ #happybirthdayjulian #teamcanteen #neversurrender #wearehuia2012 #flamingos #showusyournaturalhue #yoghurtdoesnotbelongincoffee #thotting Answer: Flamingos are pink because of their diet high in shrimp, which are abundant in carotenoids. Cool! #flamingogains
