Day 8 of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month: Please no disrespect - TopicsExpress

Day 8 of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month: Please no disrespect for what I am about to say.. At least once a month if not more I get an inbox message from someone to play a GAME to raise awareness for breast cancer, and the PINK ribbon... I can honestly say that I dont think there is a person on this planet that doesnt know what the PINK ribbon stands for!! One time I responded back asking if they all knew what the GOLD ribbon stood for? Most did NOT!!! One response was GOLD is NOT as important as PINK.. More women are diagnosed per year with breast cancer then children are... Last I checked I am a women, so yeah, your cause is important to me, but my CHILDREN ALWAYS come first, besides there are PRE-SCREENING options available to me.. There are self examines that can be done every day, week, month, and/or getting a Mammogram which in many cases are offered FREE through the Susan G Komen Foundation and the American Cancer Society.. Hence the reason the survival rate is so high.. Children DONT have those options.. The only GAMES that should be played are by children outside, not fighting for their lives in a hospital bed... My child never had the chance to grow breasts!!!!! Dont you think childrens lives are just as important as yours????
