Though he was diagnosed with diabetes as a child, he has overcome the challenges associated with it and lives a healthy, normal life. 2. I am very thankful for the advancements in the treatment of diabetes. I know when Steve was young, he had to give himself insulin injections 3 times a day and eat a strict diet. Now, thanks to the insulin pump, its a whole new world for him. 3. Im especially thankful that 12 years ago today, Steve Malchow and Barb Butler Malchow gave me a nephew, Bryce!
