Day 9- Well I did have a friend named Maria Hudson Difede until I took her on an 18.2 mile bike ride!!! It was like the three hour spin class from hell. She is de friending me as I write this! It was suppose to be 4 miles. Even though it was a screw up we have laugh so much!! Now that its over. We had plans for the beach but we made not be able to walk. I always try to put a positive spin on things, so Im not going to let our aching bodies keep me from loving my birthday or my fav place in the sun!!! I was trying to flag down strangers 1/4 of the way in. Maria wanted to stop and call a taxi! Thank goodness she plays tennis and golfs weekly and I do yoga and run! We are still laughing so hard about our day. We are now on the ferry for home. We then walked all over town till I found the rental I started to get in January and she found a place her friends have just bought! We shopped also, so needless to say we are taking aleve when we get home. Maybe a few birthday drinks will settle our nerves. All in all it was a great day! She just said that it was like being with Gilligan--it was suppose to be a three hour tour and it lasted for years!!! Just ask my kids and friends traveling with Sharon Short is an adventure if nothing else!!!!
