Day 9 and.....I FEEEEL Good, I knew that I would! MOOD: Mellow ENERGY: Brilliant MOTIVATION: Over the last nine days I have come to realise how little time I actually spent looking after myself and my body. I feel really well at the moment and as a result I am totally motivated to continue taking a little bit of time everyday to really think about what Im eating and drinking and to exercise in any shape or form. PHYSICAL: I physically feel much better than I have in months, I had a baby at the end of February so up until now I had still been trying to get back to my pre baby self (although doing very little about it if Im honest). These past 9 days have really kick-started my interest in getting back into shape, I have lost inches and pounds, although I cant tell you how many because I dont own a weighing scales. What I can tell you though, is that my Favourite Black Skinnys (Jeans) wouldnt budge past my thighs two weeks ago and tonight I was able to zip them the whole way up and still breath! FEELING: Like I am in a much better position to offer help and support to those who may embark on the Clean 9 in the future. Having come through it myself, I am totally comfortable now to recommend it based on the results which I have received . IN SUMMARY: After completing the Clean 9 I feel great, I feel trimmer and stronger, my skin is clearer, I am energised in the morning and I have a greater awareness of myself. What I mean by a greater awareness of myself, is that I am starting to recognise now when I am full after eating, I am conscious of how much caffeine I used to take daily, of how much water I should be drinking and perhaps the biggest awakening for me was discovering how little exercise I did up until now. I generally only exercised before this when I had a huge window of opportunity and time (which was hardly ever) but through having to do 20 mins of exercise everyday while on the programme I was forced to incorporate it into my existing daily routine, such as walking to the school gates instead of driving, doing sit ups or yoga on the floor after putting the kids to bed or jogging on the spot for 20 mins while putting the laundry away (which I did last night!). It may seem a bit silly but it has allowed me to begin focusing on getting fit again and it has been a great eye-opener. I did the programme just as it is intended, I stuck to the guidelines/ rules about 95% of the time however I didnt count my calories, I simply ate an appropriate portion (roughly 600 calories) of whatever meal I had prepared for the family at either lunch or dinner time and made it a healthy one. On one evening I snacked on a small bowl of homemade popcorn made with coconut oil (good fats!) and another day had some extra fruit and crackers. The point is, you can do whatever version of the Clean 9 which suits you and still achieve great results as long as you know what your focus is and why your doing it. Deciding to do the Clean 9 may not be an easy thing to do but I think with the right focus and support it is very doable and definitely well worth the effort. What I have learned though doing it is that we are all capable of being happy with less and should really savour all that we have. This goes for food and life in general!
