Day Five Bhutan, South Asia Recently, Bhutanese voters participated in the first stage of the general elections. Four parties are competing to enter parliament. The two parties receiving the least amount of votes will be eliminated. Political experts believe voter turnout was around 55% of registered voters. Pray for the election process to continue peacefully. Pray for Bhutan to find its “happiness” in Jesus Christ. Pray for the Gospel to spread throughout this Asian country (The Bible, Psalm 37:4). Saudi Arabia, Arabian Peninsula In Saudi Arabia, any criticism of the government can be punished. When negative news flows out of Saudi Arabia, the government can and will crack down on its people to try to maintain a global position of respect. Even when Saudis campaign against human rights violations inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the government can be harsh. Pray for the Saudi government to work to make human rights and the care for people a priority. Pray for a growing freedom for the people to hear the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ (The Bible, Luke 4:18-19).
