Day Four – Forsaking the leaven of the Pharisees Key Scripture Matthew 16:6 Then Jesus said to them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees. Prayer Request #1: We ask that God would deliver us from a pharisaic attitude that stops us moving with the cloud. Matthew 16:6 Then Jesus said to them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees. Prayer Request #2: We ask that God would help us identify anything that stops us from embracing the newness of God’s direction. Matthew 16:12 Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees. Prayer Request #3: We repent of self-glorification and self-reliance and ask God that it will end in our lives. 1 Corinthians 5:6 Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Prayer Request #4: We ask that God deliver us from merely a professing Christianity so that we become doers of God’s Word and are quick to follow His leading. Matthew 23:3 For they preach, but do not practice. Prayer Request #5: We ask God to deliver us from a performance mentality so that God’s Spirit moves us, not the recognition of man. Matthew 23:5 They do all their deeds to be seen by others. #Fast21 #MovingWithTheCloud
