Day Twenty-Six Update After a rough night, today was rather uneventful. Ronny fell asleep early yesterday evening, and the nurse had to wake him to do some things, and he stayed up. So every time a movie ended he woke me up to put in a new one. It was rough. He ended up taking a morning nap which worked out for the best. After that, Ronny and I just hung out watching movies all day. He ate about a third of the cheese omelet and 2 bites of the bacon I had gotten for myself for breakfast. And later, he ate a bite of my spaghetti. And when Daddy and Bailey were visiting he ate almost a whole bag of goldfish crackers. Unfortunately, hes not drinking near enough, so they have him on fluids to keep him hydrated. He has complained a few times today his neck hurts, but we arent sure if its the trach hole or sores in his throat. So he has been getting Oxycodone and Magic Mouthwash today too. His WBC count is still really low (0.4), and his hemoglobin is dropping (7.7) making his ANC remain at 0. So, tomorrow it is pretty much a sure bet he will get a blood transfusion. His temperature got up to 102.1 in the early morning hours, but then it stayed below 101 the rest of the day. Its been hanging out in the 99-100.5 range most of the day. He spent most of the day camped out on the couch instead of the bed, but now hes in bed sound asleep and snoring. Two funny things happened today. First, he had a hangnail. So he told me, Go get the clippers. I didnt have any, so I said I had to go to the gift shop and buy some. He said, Go, hurry up! Later I said to him, Im hungry. Im going to go to the cafeteria to get something to eat. Ill be back in just a minute. Ronnys response? No, she doesnt need to eat. She needs to stay. I guess Im back on my diet. Lol ;)
