Day four. Baking day. Baked our sourdough loaf and a traditional loaf, made chocolate biscotti, prepared rough puff pastry and made a gooseberry frangipani. Then as there is a heat wave in England at the moment at it was incredibly hot in the kitchen (as typically there is no provision for air conditioning) we headed outside and made some wood fired pizza. An absolutely wonderful four days and I would highly recommend it. Always a joy in the kitchen when someone else does the grocery shopping, then the prep, then the washing up. All I had to do was cook and eat!!
