Day last: Yesterday was my birthday so my colleagues took me to lunch. I couldnt get any real hugs of course but still had a good time. I did get lots of virtual hugs and other friends took me to dinner. Today, I woke up with a sore throat and went into a panic coz I wouldnt be allowed to get on the plane if I had a fever. Fortunately I passed all my temperature checks. Arrived in Dakar and had to go through a screening that was worthy of CNN. Orange mesh and people in PPE suits and all. Then was taken straight to a hospital for tests and start being monitored before heading to hotel. But I fell in love with Dakar at first sight so happy I chose Senegal for my quarantine. Heres to the next 21 days....
