Day two is a wrap here at Twin Rivers. Leo was great. We had a stop at a combination that worried me quite a bit. Quite a bit of terrain for him at this point in time, so I believe it surprised him to not see the landing. So a stop and B and then I just came back around and angled B and he was great. At that point I just cruised around the rest of the course. We did get through the down bank combination fault free for the very first time! A bit of hovering on each drop, but he went down and even jumped D on the first try! So right there I was so excited! We were better at the drop into water and he was perfect at the chevron in the water. Now to finish off with show jumping tomorrow. Overall I am so incredibly pleased with him. He will get a well deserved break next week, then the Foxfield Derby and then on to Pacific Indoor Eventing. If all goes well he will be headed to Fresno Horse Park, and the the CCI** at Galway. Where did the season go? Tayler did an awesome job with Boxer today. The little guy just keeps stepping up! A very challenging track for him. But she rode really well and he listened perfectly. A rail dropped them from 7th to 8th, but I am so pleased with how well both of he hem did today. Well done Tayler. You and Boxer looked great! Keep that up for cross country tomorrow! Karen had the most lovely 15 fences on cross country today. Sadly there were 17 on the course. A little mistake and not enough stick-on and she and Ranger parted ways. No big deal. Just sad to not finish. Maybe I shouldnt be talking to Tayler during her ride and saying how great they look and it will be no time until they move up! Or maybe it was saying how Ill video the last line and that way shell have something for Facebook. Whatever, it was great to see her out there having such a great time. Their partnership will keep growing, and now on to the next adventure!
