Day21: islam is a way of life that attempts to guide us through prefecting our behaviour. the prophet (saw) said the one who looks after a widow or poor person, is like one who performs prayers in the night and fasts all day. surely, there is a message in this for us all to implement - namely a poor or widowed lady (who may have children but cannot go out to work as she looks after them) for example are needy, they require our help - we can use this month to our advantage, in that the money we use to buy our lunch at work can be saved and sent to the needy instead, they will appreciate it much more than we will in our pockets - so simple examples like this act in a way that it shapes our characteristics to carry forward to our daily lives
