Day4 Gratitude Tempis Fugit 1) I am grateful I am not blind. Maybe I should say: I am grateful I can see. Imagine not being able to see all these things we try to capture photographically? I started thinking about what I would have done with my life if I was blind? Not photography. Not anesthesia. Not gardening. Not road trips. Not museums. Not on & on. I never had that train of thought before. What do blind people do for a living? What could I do blind? What could YOU do? Sing. Breast feed. What else. Im not kidding. I have not googled Blind occupations. This is just the steel trap of my mind. So dont google blind jobs; just think about what YOU would do blind. I thought about this last night about 1030 sitting in the middle of the back field. i probabaly looked crazy out there in my bathrobe in a metal chair in the pitch dark with a tripod..The sky was so black & clear last night. I sat out very late taking more pics of -yes the moon- but also 4 planets!!! still in camera stay tuned 2) I am grateful for my gardening friends who take turns helping each other weed each others gardens. How grateful I am for that task. Ric came this morning for a few hours. Theres grace in that favour. 3) I am grateful my whole garden isnt infected with whatever it is. Just one bed. (Though my Japanese Weeping Maple has something too.) Thats not negative thats factual. Look Up.
