De La Salle University The College of Liberal Arts Research and Advanced Studies Office CLA-RAS Mini-Grants for Creative Writing 2013-2014 The College of Liberal Arts Research and Advanced Studies Office isonce again inviting faculty members, graduate students, academic service faculty (ASF), administrative service personnel (ASP), and co-academic personnel (CAP) of De La Salle University-Manila to apply for mini-grants for creative writing. This grant program seeks to lend a modest assistance to writers and artists who are in need of minimal resources to enable them to produce creative work—poetry, fiction, drama, creative nonfiction, or film (screenplay). Four (4) fellows will be selected to receive a grant of P10,000.00/each. Not eligible for the application are BNSCWC personnel, including the Associates and members of the Advisory Council, and the CLA RAS personnel. Past grantees can only apply after a two-year interval. Application Requirements 1. Curriculum vitae (including contact information and a list of publications) 2. Sample work (e.g. two-three poems, one short story, one essay, or one script) 3. Deadline: 30 July 2013 Output Requirements The project must be completed within a timeframe of one year. The minimum output may be any of the following: Three-five pages of poetry One short story One short play One essay One film script Output that goes beyond the aforementioned requirements is most welcome (e.g. a full-length play, a novel-in-progress, a collection of poems, a full-length screenplay). The grant money will only be given upon submission of the final output. Within a year after the compliance of the final output, the work must be submitted for publication, exhibition or contest, whether local, national, or international.
