DeAnn Timmermans needs your ideas: I have a 3 yr old SPD son. For about the last year or so, he has gotten into the habit of running away from us when we are out and about. We were in Target the other day and he actually hopped out of the cart and ran. We were so scared he would run out the front doors. Im thinking he sees this as a game because he doesnt do this at school, in fact the teacher says he has never done anything like this. It has been suggested that we get him some kind of ID bracelet so that if, God forbid, he gets lost someone will know who he is and how to contact us. But as a sensory child, I need something that wont drive him to distraction, and would like it to be something that can grow with him, in case he doesnt grow out of this stage. I am at my wits end about this, any suggestions would be great. Thank you so much!!
