DeSoto’s Environmental Health Specialist, Jimmy Stephens, was just notified that a surveillance trap located in DeSoto in the 1200 Block of Summerside has tested positive for West Nile Virus mosquitoes. Sticking with the Four-County WNV Mosquito Plan, Dallas County Health and Human Services will be spraying neighborhoods immediately where the traps were located on Thursday September 12, 2013 and Saturday, September 14, 2013 between the hours of 9:30 pm and 5:00 am. Spraying will occur in an area bounded by W. Belt Line Road, S. Westmoreland Road, W. Parkerville Road and Duncanville Road.
