Deadline for Submitting EED Awards Applications is December 31st Applications To Be Submitted at SEC Tower, Floor no. 8 The Education Excellence Award (EED) Executive Committee has announced that the deadline for submitting applications for the education excellence awards is December 31st, 2014. Applications guidelines in English along with a detailed description of each award are available online on the following website sec.gov.qa/Ar/EED/Pages/default.aspx The SEC celebrates the Education Excellence Day annually to promote innovation and excellence in the Qatari society, to recognize the outstanding youth of Qatar, to inspire creativity and excellence among the Qatari people and to advance educational process by adopting international standards, implementing quality programs, and integrating individual and institutional efforts in education. Applicants must meet a number of criteria and conditions in order to qualify for the award, including but limited to: Promoting self-characteristics, leadership skills, good communication and expression of thoughts and ideas, the ability to negotiate and start a discussion, self-development, conducting activities and competitions as well as community participation. Applications of all categories including Primary, Preparatory, Secondary and University students, schools, teachers, scientific researchers, and PhD Holders are received at the Office of Communications at the Supreme Education Council Tower, Floor no. 8. Qatar University students can submit their applications to Mr. Yaqoub Hussein, the Head of the Students Registration Office at the university building or to the SEC Office of Communications. All award categories are subject to screening by the award jury committees, which include educational experts and university lecturers.
