Deaf Access Cymru are looking for Qualifed Sessional Workers! JOB TITLE: Youth Club Sessional Workers LOCATION: Bridgend x 1 sessional worker Mold x 1 sessional worker SALARY: £25 per hour HOURS: 4 hours per week (a weekday evening to be agreed) Contract: 1 year Deaf Access Cymru was founded in 1977 as Clwyd Deaf Society. Now known as Deaf Access Cymru, our vision is “Full and equal access to services, education, employment and leisure activities for D/deaf people across Wales, allowing D/deaf people to lead independent and successful lives”. We are looking for sessional workers based in both the North and South of Wales to help us to deliver a unique project which is aimed to inspire and educate young D/deaf people about our rich D/deaf culture and heritage. Working in partnership with the British Deaf History Society, you will facilitate training for young people and support them to gather information from the aging D/deaf community. Supported by a Deaf artist, this information and learning will then be utilised to create an art piece which will be displayed at an end of year event.
