Dean is still in need of lots of Prayer and Positive thoughts.....Today we spent the day at UNMC, met the new pulmonologist and his personal nurse. Before he discussed anything else he gave us his advice...and that is to put an IV pump in asap. The meds hes been using for the primary pulmonary hypertension just arent doing what they should be. So the nurse put the paperwork into Blue Cross today, we go back down Wednesday this week to speak to another dr., and while there we are to contact the other tower to see if they have any cancellations for an Echo or VQ, otherwise we will be going back down Thursday morning for those tests. They need to check his lungs for blood clots. Then when the insurance accepts the procedure we make another appt and he will spend a week in the hospital, we both will. We need to learn about the machine, the medication it will be pumping into his heart, how to care for the machine, how he can shower with it and keep it from getting any infections. Will be a long week but I have a notebook and its ready to go! Please is any of you could possibly add him into a little prayer for us it would be so greatly appreciated!!
