Dear 2014, Youve been a strange year. As we tend to do in december, reflect on the past 12 months, several things come to mind... To fb friends, your smiling pics and adventures brighten my day. Nowhere in history have people been so connected despite the distances that separate us. Keep your good times posted...they are appreciated. To all my extended relatives, your ancestors never had the privledge of being connected like we are today. Imagine the few letters or phone calls exchanged in the past...we live in a remarkable time. To my fellow and previous coworkers, you are not far from me although we may never meet face to face again. If you are my fb friend now, you were once my face to face friend...a person I hold dear. To my lifelong friends, classmates and neighbors, we have seen a lot of change over the years, but our friendship has not changed...it is rock solid. To Debbie, my first girlfriend, whom we lost this year...I recall my own battle with cancer and the loneliness and uncertainty I felt in 2001 as I struggled through weeks of radiation and chemo. Farewell. To my immediate family, I am blessed with a great wife, kids and of course Briella, whom I spent the greater part of this day wrapping christmas gifts. I smiled the whole time. To the world in general, 2014 was a rough year as we struggle to move past our genetic tribal misconceptions of life...someday well overcome our bad genes and live life the way we were intended...respect for all.
