International creative laboratory of performance - “PRO-art Community” - is dedicated to actionism and interdisciplinary forms of art, theoretic and practical forms of mastering it by young creators. The Laboratory will be held in Petrozavodsk (Republic of Karelia, Russia) from October 22nd till November 4th 2014 within the framework of the project “Karelian center of contemporary art and culture”, supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Karelia. Latest practices of contemporary art in actionism sphere will be the main theme of the Laboratory. Being addressed to the young creative people from Russia and other countries it will include different forms of studies: lections, workshops, group and individual creative praxis. The experts of the Laboratory will be well-known Russian and foreign artists, masters in contemporary art and especially in performance. Public presentation of works made by participants of the Laboratory in different forms of performative art will be the result of the project. Participants will gain experience and professional knowledge in one of the important fields of contemporary culture. Another goal of the project is to make a space for creative and professional communication and international cultural networking. Terms of entry. Young (under 35 years of age) professionals in culture and art (visual arts, theatre, music, dance, theory of art, etc.), which have some experience of working in interdisciplinary cultural projects or in the sphere of actionism from Russia and other countries are invited to take part in the creative Laboratory of performance 2014 in Petrozavodsk. A limited number of participants will be selected by the organizing committee of the Laboratory. The travel, accommodation and meal expenses of the Laboratory participants will be covered by the organizing committee. To apply for participation please send the following materials to the organizing committee of the Laboratory: - Application form (attached) with short letter of motivation; - CV (education, participation in projects, festivals, exhibitions and other information about the author); - “Self portrait” - small creative work in any form of performative art representing yourself (text, photo or video documentation (records) of an action; audio, photo or video performance).
