Dear Abdul Hadi Alias, Ive read your heartfelt letter (link below) to me with regards to the recent comments I have made particularly here on my Page. Let me assure you that the old Tony is still here. But he is extremely frustrated with the behavior of many PAS leaders, in particular, the PAS President himself, Tok Guru Hadi Awang. Im sure that I dont have to further elaborate on that. You have asked me to apologise to Tok Guru Hadi. However, have you asked the PAS President to apologise to Datuk Seri Wan Azizah for all the highly insulting, disparaging and even defamatory remarks he has made about her - particularly that supporting her will send PAS members to hell? We are referring here not about anyone but the President of a fellow coalition partner! Let me state here openly - I will not hesitate to be the first to publicly apologise to Tok Guru Hadi Awang if he will similarly apologise to Kak Wan. It is the right and decent thing to do for a religious leader. Like you, I miss the old Pakatan and cannot wait for it to return. I have many good friends in PAS who are great leaders but they are clearly being sidelined even by their own party. I spent my past 5 years telling Malaysians that PAS is a party they could trust and believe in. I told them the coalition has a lot more in common than the little differences we had. I have no intent nor interest in pushing PAS away. I want the old PAS which Ive enjoyed so much working with in the last 5 years back. We hope PAS under Tok Guru Hadi Awang leadership will stop pushing Pakatan away. Thats all I have to say here. I would be more than happy to have coffee with you one of these days to chat and assure you further that the old Tony is still around.
