Dear Alan, A cry for help by environmentalists has been sent to - TopicsExpress

Dear Alan, A cry for help by environmentalists has been sent to us from Indonesia. The demand for cheap palm oil remains unchanged and the destruction does not even spare the protected areas. The palm oil company BGA is clearing Tanjung Puting National Park in southern Borneo in order to cultivate new palm oil plantations. The park is the habitat of 6,000 orang-utans and proboscis monkeys. BGA violates numerous laws as well as the moratorium on deforestation which has only recently been renewed by the President in May. Please sign the petition addressed to the government of the South-East Asian country: TAKE ACTION Thanks for being involved, Klaus Schenck Rainforest Rescue (Rettet den Regenwald e.V.)
