Dear All, Assalamualaikum w.b.t and Good Day, INVITATION TO CAIRO OPEN DAY 19 AUGUST 2014 We wish to announce that Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIRO) will be organizing CAIRO Open Day as follows: Date: Thursday, 19th August 2014 Time: 10 am- 4 pm Venue: CAIRO Building (next to Block H) Offer: Postgraduate studies with scholarships, and research and product exhibition Established in 1997, CAIRO is one of the Centers of Excellence in UTM. It has established itself as the leading R&D center in AI, Robotics and Automation in the country. Its main role is to acquire advanced technologies, to be involved in research, and to work with local industries to improve their product competitiveness. Since its establishment, more than 200 postgraduate students have achieved Masters and PhD degrees with support of various research grants amounting over than RM 15 million from both the government and private industries. Along these years, CAIRO has published nearly 200 journal papers and the number is growing. Our well-known research center has always strived to continue our strength in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Advance Automation by securing more research grants and publishing more journal papers in years to come. Our project highlights are 1) KenalKayu (Wood Recognition System) 2) Syariah Compliance Automated Chicken Slaughtering System 3) Intelligent Transformer Fault Diagnosis System 4) Intelligent Timetable Scheduling System 5) Compact Rehabilitation Robot 6) and the list goes on. CAIRO continues to strive to be a leader in research, development and commercialization in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Advance Automation.
