Dear All, TDEA-Citizens’ Voice Project is seeking applications for the position of “ Senior Program Officer - Program Development and Research”. Job Specifications Position: Senior Program Officer - Program Development and Research No. of Positions: 1 Expected Date of Joining: Immediate Reports to: Manager Program Development and Research Scope of Work The Senior Program Officer will assist the Manager Program Development and Research in developing the Scope of work, monitoring framework and indicators relevant to USAID solicitations. Main Responsibilities His/her primary responsibility will be to assist in the process of Research and Development of the programs to be sent for USAID for final approval. Technical aspects of the Program Development process includes but is not limited to designing innovative program approaches and interventions, action research on program priority areas the development of solicitation papers and specify their scope of work and monitoring framework Regular Tasks • To assist in performing basic research to inform project team on possible ideas for interventions within the scope of the project • To assist in development of a system of assessment of proposals to identify the research-based interventions and results that should be achieved through implementation of interventions and programs • To assist in carrying out research activities to finalize programmatic interventions with their specific monitoring framework, scope of work and indicators • To provide informed input in solicitation processes for grant disbursement • To provide guidance to the grantees on how to reach an agreed goal or implement an intervention • To provide thoroughly researched input on the thematic areas identified by USAID on proposals • To assist in developing qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and instruments such as questionnaires, interview guidelines etc. as and when required • To generate periodic reports on the assessment of programmatic interventions • To be up-to-date with developments in policy and social issues, as well as qualitative and quantitative research methods • To provide technical input in the implementation of the Monitoring & Evaluation plan • To manage quality control and oversight of all research related activities • To ensure compliance with unit objectives • To manage several tasks simultaneously, in order to meet deadlines • To systematically maintain and keep the backup of all relevant record in soft and hard forms relating to the unit. • To perform any other duties assigned by the Line Supervisor or COP from time to time. Travel Requirement The Senior Program Officer will be based in Islamabad and maybe required to travel at the national level Qualification • Masters’ in Social Sciences or related discipline from a recognized university • 6 years of progressive experience in relevant field • Exposure/work experience in the development sector will be preferred • Ability and availability to travel nationally, as required • Fluency in spoken and written English and Urdu is required • Familiarity with USAID project management rules and regulations will be an advantage • Perform any other duties assigned by the manager from time to time Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Interviews.
