Dear All, The NSW State Government should be rightly proud of their ability to listen and act on the concerns of the community. A further review of CTP Greenslip Legislation is to be applauded not denigrated. Democracy does work…sometimes it just needs to be a little louder and a little more organised to be heard. I take my role as Patron and life member of the Australian Confederation of Motor Clubs very seriously indeed. Through the unity of all motoring disciplines we have achieved strength of voice which has delivered more for NSW enthusiasts in the last two years than in the last three decades of maligning. Unity and strength of voice demonstrated on CTP by the hard, diligent and organizational work of Chris Burns, David Cooke and team. What a fantastic effort; the entire motoring community owes you a huge debt of gratitude. My role in ensuring that our concerns are heard pales in comparison. Our community just wants a fair go, to be part of the process, to have our concerns heard and our proposals given due consideration. We come from all walks of life and provide a resource to government and bureaucracy, should they choose to consult; with the breadth and depth of knowledge our community demonstrates. Knowledge that can assist in formulating legislation and standards that, are safe, workable and affordable. We look forward to assisting the government in a holistic consultation process that encompasses ALL interested parties. A process that requires equal consideration of the consumer! Alan
