Dear All, This is to inform you that Dr. Steve Uhlig, Professor of Networks at School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science (eecs.qmul.ac.uk), Queen Mary University of London will be delivering an academic talk on The forces behind the changing Internet: IXPs, content delivery, and virtualization in Air University (Administrative Sciences Auditorium) from 1330 – 1400 Hrs on 3rd February, 2014. All the AU students and faculty members (particularly final year / MS / PhD students and faculty members from Computer Science and Electrical Engineering Departments) are welcome to attend the talk. About Professor Steve Uhlig: Steve Uhlig obtained a Ph.D. degree in Applied Sciences from the University of Louvain, Belgium, in 2004. He is the Professor of Networks and head of the Networks research group at Queen Mary, University of London since January 2012. Other than Queen Mary he has worked for Deutsche Telekom Laboratories (Germany), Delft University of Technology (Netherlands), Belgian National Fund for Scientific Research (Belgium), University of Louvain-la-neuve (Belgium) and Notre-Dame de la Paix of Namur (Belgium). His research interests are Internet measurements (active and passive), network topology structure and evolution, software-defined networking, content delivery, network Infrastructure virtualization.
